West Bali National Park is a nature conservation area in Bali which has a native ecosystems and the last habitat for birds Curik Bali (Leucopsar Rothschildi, streesman 1912). This is often synonymous as a national park established to provide protection for the survival / existence of the Bali Starling (Leucopsar rothschildi). However, the area is rich in fauna. By type, fauna found in the West Bali National Park is comprised of seven species of mammals, two types reptilia, 105 kinds of aves, 120 species of fish, and many others.
Beautiful and unspoiled Menjangan Island is one of the best Diving or Snorkeling site in Bali. Menjangan Island is a small island just 30 minutes boat ride away direct from our beach to the north-west direction and its part of West Bali National Park. Considered to be an important part of the local tourism industry, because its marine fauna incorporates one of the best-preserved coral reefs in the area. It is a Hindu shrine located in the hill bank in about 25m from the see and in front of the beautiful beach in north part of Bali. This temple is inhabited by monkeys which are considered as the descendants of Dewa (Gods). This temple is set on the flat land with stone hill bank as a back drop meanwhile the blue ocean is just in front of the temple. There are the group of monkeys dwell the hill forest around the temple and it usually standing around the temple in the day time. The beautiful beach with black sand and calm seawater is one of the fascinations to visitor to come to this temple. We can find the beautiful hill bank and beaches along the coastal road. It is strategically set in the main road from Singaraja to Gilimanuk with the group of monkeys as the identity for the traveler who wants to visit this temple.
Atlas south sea pearl penyabangan village is one of big pearl farm in North Bali area near by our resort. Tourist can do a tour and learn about the oyster-breeding program, the cultivation cycle and see a demonstration of pearl seeding and harvesting. Visiting the pearl farm gives the unique opportunity to see and understand the whole process from the human intervention on the oyster, to the birth of the pearl and all various stages until it is finally extracted from the shell and made into a fine piece of jewellery.
More than sixty Biorock coral nursery structures have been installed since June 2000 in the Pemuteran Village Marine Protected Area in Northwest Bali, Indonesia. Cooperation with the Municipality of Pemuteran, Gahawisri (the Balinese Watersports Federation), local dive shops and hotels, and other local stakeholders. With a total length of 300 metres situated in an area of 2 hectares, this is the largest Biorock coral reef nursery and restoration project worldwide, exceeding the combined sizes of all other ongoing projects in the Pacific, Caribbean, and Indian Ocean.
The project already has the majority of local coral species in cultivation. Their enhanced growth rate, reproduction, and resistance to environmental stress provides a critical reservoir of healthy corals to resist future hot periods caused by global warming and to restore damaged reefs and vital fishing areas.
Reef seen Aquatics located just a 10 minutes walk to west area from our beach, one of bali's first turtle protection program and hatchery. It is a great educational experience to view the hatchery and talk to Mr. Chrys brown as the director of the project. recieve a certificate when you realise a baby turtle back into the sea.
